Termite Repairs
According to the National Pest Management Association (NPMA), termites and other Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO) cause an estimated $5 billion in damage each year, affecting over 600,000 American homes annually, with the average homeowner spending upwards of $3,000 in repairs. So obviously you’ll want to find a termite repair company you can trust and you need not look any further than Signet Inspection Group.
Is termite repair work always necessary?
Unless there is wood damage that needs to be replaced such as with fascia boards, siding, a deck or wall studs, termite repair work is generally not necessary. In cases where repairs are not necessary, the infestation can usually be remediated by rodding, drilling, fumigation, or other types of termite treatments.
If repairs are needed, what is the process?
After our Termite Inspection, you will receive a detailed report that lists our findings and includes our recommendations and competitive estimate to treat the infestation and repair the damage. Once agreed upon, we set up a construction schedule, order building supplies, and get to work making everything right again. During the construction process, our WDO Damage Repair Team will do everything possible to minimize the inconvenience leaving everything as tidy as possible when the day’s work is done. We will do everything possible to stay on time and on budget, and any changes will be immediately discussed for the best possible solution.
Are repairs made by Signet employees?
Yes, our in-house expert WDO Damage Repair Team can repair wood damage from wood destroying organisms including termites, beetles, carpenter ants, bees and dry-rot fungus. Unlike traditional contractors, our WDO Damage Repair Team not only repairs the wood damage, but also takes steps to prevent future WDO infestations.
Are building permits required for termite repair?
Depending on the type and scope of repairs needed, a building permit may or may not be required. Although there are a number of repair operations frequently contracted by structural pest control operators that do not present problems or have the size and substance to warrant a permit and inspection, it is always understood that all repairs are to be completed in compliance with all applicable local and California Building Codes even if a building permit is not mandatory.
